WALGA (WA Local Government Association), in partnership with Nudge, is offering a fantastic traineeship opportunity to earn while you learn. This full-time role includes completing a Certificate III in Local Government while gaining hands-on experience in the administration industry, supported by experienced and passionate teams.

Customer Service Traineeship

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide frontline customer service, including greeting visitors, answering calls, and responding to general enquiries.
  • Support daily office operations by managing mail, deliveries, bookings, and consumables.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, compliance support, and maintaining workplace information.
  • Contribute to events, facilities support, and continuous improvement of processes and services.
To apply, you should:
  • Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • Minimum completion of Year 10 or equivalent
  • Be a confident communicator, comfortable greeting visitors and answering phone call
  • Be reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Be comfortable using basic technology (Word, Excel and Outlook) to complete tasks 

Position Details:

  • Work type: Full-time
  • Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8.15am-5.00pm | Tuesday and Thursday 8.15am-4.00pm
  • Salary: Starting from $55,000 per year (including superannuation)
  • Benefits: 6 weeks (30 days) annual leave per year
  • Will be based in West Leederville, Perth
