Happy New Year and welcome to 2020!

Just like that, 2019 has passed and gone and the Nudge team are back into gear for 2020 with many exciting projects well underway. The team are very excited for another big year working with employers continuing to create real employment opportunities for the WA community.

We are excited to announce a new staff member to Nudge, Acacia Collard. Acacia is a Badimia Yamatji – Balladong Noongar woman who comes from two large and prominent families in Western Australia, she currently lives in the Perth area.

Acacia has worked in the mining sector in various roles for the past 7 years – roles including: on site operations, including plant operations to office administration in the CBD – with a focus on supporting and increasing Indigenous engagement through employment.

Acacia is also a contemporary Aboriginal artworks and designs artist – her works include canvas painting, rock art, sand murals and all sort of other fun and exciting masterpieces.

As a Mentor, Acacia will be supporting trainees and sharing her own experiences to provide insight into the challenges of working life and the expectations on employees/trainees in the workplace.

The rest of the Nudge team is still here and firing, straight back into the business of 2020. Currently, we are recruiting for a number of roles, including with the Insurance Commission of WA and the Armadale Access Alliance project for Laing O’Rourke.
