End of Year Sundowner 2018

On Wednesday 14th November 2018 Nudge was excited to once again host its annual end of year Sundowner, this year on the Skydeck at Northbridge Brewing Company.

The Nudge End of Year Sundowner, sponsored by Lendlease, was also the launch of the inaugural Nudge Training Awards, as well as this year’s Nudge Annual Report.

The awards are designed to acknowledge and recognise the contribution, across sectors and industries, of trainees and organisations in their commitment to training.  The Sundowner was a great setting to announce these awards and celebrate all the recipients and other nominees.  As was mentioned (several times) on the night, all those nominated and many others would be worthy of the award and should be proud of the contribution they have made over the past year.

The award recipients were:

  • Employer of the Year (Sponsored by Main Roads WA): DM Roads

Other nominees: Lendlease, MACA, Highway Constructions

  • Local Government Employer of the Year (Sponsored by WALGA): City of Swan

Other nominees: City of Canning, City of Mandurah, Shire of Serpentine/Jarrahdale

  • Team/Crew of the Year: Highway Constructions Albem Operations JV Pithara

Other nominees: Lendlease Wheatbelt, Main Roads Mid-West, DM Roads Metro

  • Clerical Trainee of the Year: Cynthia Nelly (Main Roads Geraldton)

Other nominees: Lattara Cocot (Downer), Chilton Yarran (City of Canning), Lorelei Torpy (TIPS Financial Services)

  • Technical Trainee of the Year: Lindsay Hume (Lendlease Wheatbelt)

Other nominees: Blake Colton (Materials Consultants), Aden Neal (Main Roads Kununurra), Kerwin Malay (MACA Civil), Remy Lavis (Main Roads Pilbara)

The Sundowner was a great opportunity to celebrate all the achievements of Nudge over the past year, which are outlined in this year’s Annual Report.

A special thanks again to Lendlease for sponsoring this year’s event – it was a fabulous night, enjoyed by all in attendance.  We look forward to another big year ahead at Nudge and working with the many partners we have in community and industry across WA.
