  • The successful candidates will be employed by Laing O’Rourke and work on the Greater Connect Alliance (GCA) or MELconnx Projects
  • The positions are based in Hazelmere (GCA project) and Bayswater/Ellenbrook (MELconnx project)

Civil Construction Trainee

The successful candidate will be working in a general labouring role, the role is really diverse so no day will be the same. Your tasks would include but not limited to:

  • Labouring; shoveling, fencing, drainage work , spotting, gate work, compound support as well as helping to build the structures
  • Traffic control
  • Operating water carts (once trained)
  • Clean up work, site cleaning, working in and around the machinery
  • Assisting the environmental teams


Certificate II Civil Construction Traineeship

As part of this role, the successful candidate will be undertaking a Certificate II Civil Construction Traineeship across the first 12 months of employment. A traineeship is a great way to become qualified by learning on the job from those who know the ropes. You’ll earn money while you’re gaining your qualification, and get real workplace experience.

  • Be over the age of 18
  • Hold a current Driver’s Licence (L plates considered) is preferred
  • Able to reliably turn up to work each day preferably in own vehicle
  • Enjoy working outside and getting your hands dirty
  • Be hard working, reliable and enthusiastic
  • Team orientated
  • Have a willingness to learn
  • Hold or willing to obtain a white card
  • Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test
  • Be willing to provide a National Police Clearance
