Business Trainee

The successful candidate will provide financial reporting and administration support and assistance with cash flow reporting, financial systems reporting, and other finance and administration related duties within DM Roads – WA. Key tasks would include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate the uploaded wages hours, prepare weekly reports to be reviewed by Works Managers
  • Process purchase orders into financial system(s) and arrange appropriate approvals.
  • Receipting of purchase orders
  • Maintain and own the wages timesheet and process associated journals
  • Consolidate Financial Reports for DM Roads – WA for all Business Units for review at monthly meetings
  • Maintenance and amendment of Chart of Accounts and Business Rules as required
  • Prepare expenditure reports for project expenditure
  • Prepare and own the rolling twelve month forecast of performance, liaising with Project Managers and Senior Finance Assistant for information

What is a traineeship?

As part of this role you will be undertaking a Certificate III Business Administration qualification across the first 12 months of employment. A traineeship is a great way to become qualified by learning on the job from those who know the ropes. You’ll earn money while you’re gaining your qualification, and get real workplace experience.
