CTF offering additional incentives

The Construction Training Fund (CTF), was established in 1990 to support the quality of training and to increase the number of skilled people in the building and construction Industry. The organisation has assisted in the training and employment of more than 48,000 apprentices and trainees and has helped over 340,000 industry workers to upgrade their skills.

The CTF is very important to the building and construction industry as well as the WA community, by encouraging and supporting employers to engage new apprentices and trainees it provides a lot of great opportunities throughout WA.

Recently they have added an additional incentive to help boost apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities, with an additional $2000 bonus for Certificate III Civil Construction trainees effective for the next two years. This new incentive applies for new trainees/apprentices employed between 1st July 2018 and 30th June 2020. The additional bonus will be paid on top of the current employer subsidies and include $1,000 for a 12-month traineeship and $2,000 for a 24 month traineeship, and a mature-age incentive of $2,000. The existing additional subsidies for engaging a female (up to $1,000); Indigenous (up to $2,400) and regional-south (up to $800) or regional-north (up to $1,600) trainee will continue as before.

Nudge and CTF have worked in partnership over many years in various capacities.  The Construction Training Funds aspiration of developing the quality of people entering the construction workforce sees them continue to support the Nudge work readiness programme.  We look forward to continuing this relationship and improving the calibre of people commencing traineeship roles in the civil, construction and resources sectors.
