Christmas Wishes 2019

As the year begins to come to an end, it’s a good time to reflect and take stock of the year past and what has been achieved.  Often at this time of year, we contemplate “what is it all about?”

When reflecting on Nudge this year, I keep coming back to the one answer – People.  It is all about people.  What matters, what we do, how we do it and why we do it is because of people.  Nudge is about people, we circumvent other processes and practices so we can focus on the person – who they are, what they can do and achieve, what are their dreams and aspirations.  Nudge is about people and the impact we can have on those people and their lives.

The other strong aspect of the past year in Nudge is family.  People are the core of any family.  The Nudge family continues to grow, and this year more than ever.  However, whilst we expand, grow and have more impact than ever before the central element of it all is the real and genuine connection that makes Nudge a family.  All the staff, the Board, the employers, supervisors and trainees contribute to the Nudge family.  We commit to ensuring that our sense of family continues in 2020.

One of Nudge’s core values is enjoyment and we were able to make sure that we enjoyed the year, despite the busyness.  Those keen readers of the Nudge blog will recall that earlier in the year we posted about the Nudge Burger Challenge (set by the staff…for themselves).  To review as many burgers in Perth as possible to find Perth’s best burger.  We are not sure that has been achieved (yet) but we have certainly tasted many burgers and inevitably shared varying opinions on the best of the best.  As it stands we do have a shortlist on what we think are the best (so far). Some of these include (not in order): Huxtaburger (Hibernian Place), Troublemaker (Yagan Square), Hoodburger (Northbridge), Varsity and many more. Nudge’s very own Matt Paki explains his thoughts on the perfect burger “A good burger is well prepared, tasty, juicy, and messy… anything less isn’t worth it!” We look forward to continuing this journey in 2020 – might even expand into chicken burgers.  Let us know if there is a good burger place we need to try out.

On behalf of the Nudge family, we would like to thank everyone that had an impact on Nudge this year. We wish you and your families a happy and safe Christmas and look forward to working with you in 2020.
Please note that the Nudge office will be closed from the 20th December and returning on the 6th January 2020.
