This is the last Nudge Trainee Journey (NTJ) for 2021 and in it we will highlight each trainee award winner and a snippet of their story as a way to acknowledge and celebrate their achievements – they are all worthy recipients and fantastic role models for their families and communities – Well Done.
It has been a pleasure sharing the stories of trainees throughout 2021. Earlier in 2021, Nudge staff were encouraged to create their own meaningful way to market, promote and share Nudge – the NTJ was born out of that encouragement from the mentors.
Brittney-Anne Turvey
Brittney-Anne commenced in her traineeship in late 2020 and quickly become a highly valued member of the admin team at Leeuwin Civil.
Some challenges in starting the traineeship were managing expectations and also balancing the workload with being a full-time mum. The employer has been so super-supportive and she thanks them for all their support and guidance as well as the care and nurturing from Nudge Mentor, Acacia
Calli-Rose Woods
Calli-Rose started her traineeship journey in late 2020 with the City of Bayswater.
She has quickly become an integral part of the admin team, learning new skills and contributing to a great work culture at the City of Bayswater.
Balancing work and life outside of work has been challenging, but Calli-Rose has done amazing with solid support from her colleagues and Nudge Mentor, Acacia.
Troy Garlett
Troy has been an excellent trainee who has gone from strength to strength in his commitment to learning tasks and engaging himself fully into the work.
In the early stages of the traineeship Troy adopted a “can-do attitude” that saw him make the most of every opportunity to work with various crews and subcontractors on project.
Troy’s supervisors will say he has been a model trainee and has developed some great skills through the traineeship journey.
Jeremy Atkinson
Jeremy has worked hard and diligently since commencing with Delta around 15 months ago.
His quiet demeanor and solid work ethic has been noticed by work colleagues and senior management who comment that he has been outstanding in the work and training aspects. As a family man, Jeremy’s focus is pinpointed on supporting his own children and partner and always doing his level best in all that he undertakes.
